In Loving Memory of Nickenley Turenne

MANCHESTER, New Hampshire — A heavy silence has fallen over the Manchester community as loved ones mourn the loss of Nickenley Turenne, 24, a young man whose life ended far too soon following a tragic police-involved incident in the early morning hours of December 6, 2025.

Nickenley was more than a headline or a statistic. To those who knew him, he was a son, a family member, and a friend whose presence brought energy, laughter, and warmth. At just 24 years old, he stood at the beginning of life’s journey, carrying dreams, hopes, and the potential for a future that will now never be fully realized. His passing has left an unfillable space in the hearts of those who loved him.

In the early hours of that morning, Manchester Police officers responded to a call involving a suspicious vehicle near South Mammoth Road and Green Acres Elementary School. What followed was a fast-moving and tragic series of events that ended near 293 South Mammoth Road, where gunfire was exchanged and Nickenley was struck. Despite immediate life-saving efforts by responding officers and emergency medical personnel, he was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.

An autopsy later confirmed that the cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds, and the manner of death was ruled a homicide, a medical classification indicating death at the hands of another person. The investigation remains active, and authorities continue to examine the circumstances surrounding this devastating incident.

For his family, friends, and community, this moment is not about legal processes or technical definitions — it is about the life that was lost. Nickenley will be remembered for his smile, his personality, and the way he touched the lives of those around him. His story is one of a life interrupted, a future stolen, and a loved one gone too soon.

As the investigation continues, many in the community are holding space for grief, reflection, and remembrance.

Rest in peace, Nickenley Turenne.

Your life mattered. Your memory will live on.
