St. Louis County Police are actively investigating a homicide after an adult man, identified as John Brown, known to family and friends as “John John” or “Biggravy,” was found fatally shot Wednesday afternoon in North County.
According to the St. Louis County Police Department, officers from the North County Precinct were dispatched at approximately 4:51 p.m. on January 7, 2026, to the 10800 block of Glen Garry Road for a report of a suspicious death. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Brown suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
Despite life-saving efforts, John Brown was pronounced deceased at the scene. Authorities have not released further details about the events leading up to the shooting, and no suspect information has been made public at this time.
The scene was secured as detectives canvassed the area, gathered evidence, and spoke with potential witnesses. The investigation is being handled by the St. Louis County Police Department’s Bureau of Crimes Against Persons and remains ongoing.
