MARION, OH — The Marion community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of 40-year-old Colleen Foster, a beloved mother, friend, and lifelong Marion resident who passed away early Friday morning from injuries sustained in a tragic vehicle crash late Thursday night. Her passing leaves a profound emptiness in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A Sudden Loss That Shook an Entire Community

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just before 10 p.m. on November 27, 2025, on West Columbia Street in the City of Marion. Colleen was the right-front passenger in a 2012 Jaguar XJ driven by 23-year-old Kaleb Leeth of Perrysburg. When the vehicle struck a parked, unoccupied Honda Odyssey, Colleen suffered severe injuries.

First responders from Marion City EMS transported her to Marion General Hospital before she was transferred to Grant Medical Center for advanced care. Despite every effort to save her, Colleen tragically succumbed to her injuries.

Investigators noted that impairment is suspected in the crash, adding another layer of sorrow to an event that has already devastated so many. The crash remains under investigation.
