Bristol Police Investigating Double Homicide After Overnight Shooting on Lilly Street

BRISTOL, Tenn. — A quiet Bristol neighborhood was shaken early Sunday morning after a double homicide, allegedly involving Elijah Khalil Campbell, occurred during a shooting on Lilly Street just after midnight.

Officers arrived to find three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Two were pronounced dead at the scene, while the third was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries that have not yet been publicly detailed.

Police identified Campbell as the suspected shooter shortly after the attack. He later turned himself in to officers in Bristol, Virginia, where he was taken into custody without incident.

Campbell now faces several serious charges, including:

  • Two counts of first-degree murder
  • One count of attempted first-degree murder
  • Additional charges may follow as the investigation develops

Detectives continue to examine evidence, interview witnesses, and work to determine what led to the deadly confrontation. Authorities are urging anyone with relevant information to contact the Bristol, Tennessee Police Department, emphasizing that even seemingly minor details may help.

A press conference is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. today, where officials are expected to release new information and address questions from the public and media.
