NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Authorities are investigating a deadly early-Sunday morning shooting that claimed the life of a young woman. Police have identified the victim as Kayla Dashayy, known to many by her nickname “Kaylivin.”
According to the North Little Rock Police Department, officers were called to the scene in the early morning hours after reports of gunfire. When they arrived, they discovered Dashayy suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Despite emergency efforts, she was pronounced dead shortly after.
Investigators spent the morning canvassing the area, speaking with witnesses, and collecting evidence as they work to determine what led to the shooting. Police have not yet released details about a suspect, possible motives, or whether anyone has been taken into custody.
