HOPWOOD, Pa. — With heavy hearts, officials confirm the tragic death of Michael Duritsky Jr., 28, of Addison, Pennsylvania, following a two-vehicle crash that occurred this evening on Route 40 east, just outside of Hopwood. The Fayette County Coroner’s Office was dispatched to the scene at approximately 6:48 p.m., where first responders encountered a devastating incident that has left a family and community grieving.

Coroner Dr. Bob Baker, along with Chief Deputy John Kondrla and Deputy Camryn Kondrla, responded to the scene to conduct the official investigation. After careful assessment, Michael Duritsky Jr., who was driving a minivan involved in the crash, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle involved in the accident was unharmed.
