In Loving Memory of Kashabe Perkins Jr.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. — The Montgomery community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Kashabe Perkins Jr., 19, of Montgomery, who was tragically killed in a shooting on the 4600 block of Mobile Highway early Friday morning. Friends, family, and neighbors are grappling with the sudden and senseless loss of a young life full of promise.

Kashabe was described by those who knew him as a bright, kind, and ambitious young man. His energy, warmth, and compassion left an impression on everyone around him, and he had a future filled with potential. His untimely death has left a void in the hearts of loved ones and the broader Montgomery community.

On the morning of the tragedy, first responders arrived at the scene after reports of multiple people shot. Kashabe was found suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital. Despite the best efforts of medical personnel, he was later pronounced deceased. Two other individuals at the scene also sustained injuries, including a boy with a life-threatening wound and a woman with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities recovered two firearms at the scene, but the motive for the shooting and the identity of a suspect remain under investigation.
